favorites.

This weekend was full of some of my favorites. As I mentioned here, it was the Mr.'s birthday on Friday and celebrating him was a treat for his wife's giving heart - I love giving gifts! And for some strange reason, the past few years (as long as I've known Joseph, really), his birthday has also triggered the beginning of Autumn, cool weather and the smell! Yes, the season of Fall has a distinct smell...and I'm slightly obsessed. It means driving around with the windows down and opening all the windows and doors in the house, letting in the musty goodness. In addition to my best friend's birthday and my favorite season showing up for the party, other favorite's included: garage sale scavenging, good movie watching, cheesecake eating, prayer journal writing, amazing homily appreciating, and my absolute favorite - daddy & baby girl playing.

Favorite things are just that, things we favor most. They persuade our smile while making us feel at home with ourselves, spoiling our sweet spots with divine delight. And some days, we just need to be surrounded by our favorites. And these two right here, are mine.
