This weekend we went to Joseph's cousin's dance recital and she was wonderful! It totally made me miss dance. I was never an incredible dancer, but I loved it. I especially enjoyed seasons when I'd work really hard to improve and then surprise myself with what I was capable of doing. There weren't many moments like these, but we all have them with our own passions and they prove hard work does pay off. Baby girl was very cooperative throughout the recital, she slept on mommy so we could enjoy the show.
If we ever have my dream home that HGTV's shows are helping me plan, it will have two extra rooms - a dance room and a writing room, both full of large windows, lots of pictures in pretty frames, and beautiful chandeliers. Yes, that would be amazing. Or maybe one large combined room for both, that could work too.
We often wonder what baby girl's interests will be. Will she want to dance? Will she want to play sports? Will she want to paint? Will she want to write? Whatever her interests, I want them to be her own. I want her to choose her cup of tea, because she's gotta love it - if not it won't be fun. And what's the point of a hobby, talent, or desire if it doesn't bring a smile to your face?
Even if she's not a dancer, she would make dance look good. One of our best friends bought her a purple tutu like this, and I can't wait for her to debut it soon with some pretty pictures.
So You Think You Can Dance starts this week and I'm really excited. Bring on the creative art of dAnCe!
