thank you, Hallmark.

This weekend's festivities celebrate a Hallmark holiday. Hallmark holidays are sometimes looked down upon because they allure people to spend money on cards and flowers. Even though that's somewhat truthful, rather than being a Debbie-downer, I'm smiling and saying...thank you, Hallmark.

Thank you, Hallmark...for enticing the world to honor and cherish our mothers, alive or in spirit, because motherhood deserves much hoopla and praise.

Thank you, Hallmark...for stimulating the senses while I celebrate my new role as a mother. And if you're like me and it's your first Mother's Day this year...how exciting! Welcome to the club!

Thank you, Hallmark...for helping me appreciate the many inspiring mothers in my life, my Mother, Joseph's mother, our family and friends, who have loved me, taught me, and encouraged me to become the woman and mother I am today. So, if you're in this group of awesome mommies, from the bottom of my heart...I thank you and honor you this weekend.

And I especially Thank you, Hallmark...for providing me an opportunity to spotlight these three cherished individuals. In my life, they shine as bright as the sun.

She showed me a Mother.

To my mother, the woman who held me first...by showing me what it means to be a Mother, you lovingly laid the foundation.

He made me a Mother.

To my husband, the man who captured my heart...by making me a Mother, you provided the strength and the bricks.

She enables me to be a Mother.

To my daughter, the sweetest pea...by enabling me and melting my heart every minute of every day, you allow me to journey on this brick-laid path and I am humbled and honored to dance this road as your Mother.

Thank you, Hallmark...for letting me say, Happy Mother's Day to all Mothers - Women who love as Mommies, Women who hope to be Mommies, Mommies-to-be, New Mommies, Experienced Mommies, Grand-Mommies, and all the Mommies who've danced before us because all gratitude to God, a woman's maternal love is as beautiful as it gets.
